Today is Day One! I've managed to drink a bunch of water, but ate big bagel for breakfast today. Just ate 1/4 cup of wild rice and a few bites of chicken for lunch. I feel I need to make up for the bad breakfast I had this morning. I intended to get up early today to exercise, but since I went to bed really late that didn't happen. We have a date night (first in 6 months) so I won't be exercising tonight. Tomorrow I hope to post that I got out of bed early enough in time to get a work out in (5:30 am comes really fast). That's my first small goal....to get up and exercise tomorrow. If I take this one day at a time - it might work. Goal number 1 - lose 25 pounds. Goal number 2 - to run a 5k in its entirety without stopping. I know I can do a 5k with walking, but at the weight I am now there is no way I could run the whole way.

So....I'm not a blogger, but I've been lurking and reading some really funny blogs recently. I somehow found a blog "Tales from the Scales" about joining in with a bunch of other people to lose weight. So that's my main reason for starting this blog. Who knows what else I will post other than my weight loss journey (probably nothing). So here goes - it starts May 8th. My goal is to lose 25 pounds initially (I want to lose more, but am not setting the bar too high just yet).
